Run Mahomet, a local 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, will take place on Saturday, August 1 (with an option for runners to participate “virtually” in the week before the race). Mahomet Residents Find Community Through Exercise

Buffalo Trace Prairie Trails See Significant Updates
Did you know that many of the trails through the preserved areas in Mahomet were originally traveled and worn by buffalo and bison? According to the Champaign County Forest Preserve District, even Highway 74 was once a bison migration route.
