  • Wednesday, October 7 from 5:30-7 p.m.

  • The parade route begins at Mahomet-Seymour High School, exiting the parking lot onto State Street, taking Division south to Union and then east on Union to Elm. It then proceeds north on Elm up to Franklin and back to the High School to conclude

  • Class floats, court member convertibles, sports teams, marching band, clubs, and businesses will make up ~60 entries in the parade

  • Tip for families: get to a watching spot by 5 p.m. and bring a bag for candy!

Powder Puff Tournament

  • Wednesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. (Frank Dutton Field)

  • Girls’ flag football games between Freshmen and Juniors, Sophomores and Seniors, and then winners vying for the championship

  • Crowd votes for MVP, Best Defense, and Best Offense awards with winners receiving small prizes from the Student Council

  • MSHS boys coach the teams and announce the games from the press box

Homecoming Football Game

  • Friday, October 9 at 7 p.m. (Frank Dutton Field)

  • Against Charleston High School. With a win against these Apollo Conference rivals, Mahomet-Seymour would clinch the conference outright with an undefeated record!

  • Hall of Fame Game: inductees to the Mahomet-Seymour Hall of Fame will be honored prior to the football game. This year’s class includes Vince Emmett (1976), John Lockhart (1997), Steve Rinkel (1972) and Don Willard (1990), per Mahomet Daily.

Homecoming Dance: “A Night in Athens”

  • Saturday, October 10 at 7 p.m.

  • Continuing a tradition that started during the COVID-19 pandemic, the dance will take place outside! (With 700-800 students attending, the heat in the gymnasium has made an outdoor dance favorable to all)
