School is back in session this week, but opportunities for fun and connection are not slowing down in Mahomet. For a free, family-friendly event, head to the Mahomet Culvers on Monday, August 10 for dinner and bingo. There will be prizes! (6 p.m., 2006 Patton Drive) Free

Women of all ages can join the Mahomet-Seymour Women’s Walking Club for a walk to grab coffee and croissants, starting and ending at Barber Park on Thursday, August 13 (8:30 a.m., 703 MacDougal Road). (More info) Free
Make your own floral arrangement at the August Flower Bar at Main Street Botanicals this Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 (10 a.m.-6 p.m., 410 E. Main Street). Pick your flowers, accents, and greenery, and the shop will wrap it up to take home! Cost varies by arrangement
Looking for a new hobby? Try woodcarving at the regular Illini Woodcarvers meeting for ages 12+. The group meets at Mahomet United Methodist Church on the first and third Saturdays of the month, including Saturday, August 15 (9 a.m., 1302 E. South Mahomet Road).
Head to Yellow & Co. on Saturday, August 15 for a comedy show by Susan Rice, a senior comedian who has appeared on ABC, NBC, HBO, and Showtime (7 p.m., 1830 Patton Drive) (Buy tickets). $25-$30
The Mahomet Public Library will host its rescheduled Foam Party this Sunday, August 16 (1:30 p.m., 1702 E. Oak Street). The event celebrates a successful Summer Reading program that recorded over 215,000 minutes read by the community. Free
