Dawgapalooza, a festival and pep rally co-hosted by the Mahomet-Seymour Athletic and Music Boosters, will take place this Friday, August 21. The event, now in its 23rd year, always corresponds with the first home game of the Mahomet-Seymour football team. This year, the home opener will be against Morton High School.

Never been to Dawgapalooza? Here’s what you need to know before you go!
Where: MSHS Football Field, just outside the entrance to the field What: Pep rally, inflatables, music by DJ Mixx Entertainment, and food When: 4:30-7:30 p.m.
What does the event cost?
Dawgapalooza is free to attend, with food and other purchases available
Those who wish to jump on the inflatables (there will be 15 this year!) will need to purchase a $10 wristband, which will also grant entry to the football game
Dawgalooza t-shirts will be on sale for $20
Both cash and card will be accepted
All proceeds benefit the M-S Athletic and M-S Music Boosters*
Admission to the football game itself is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and students. Ticket sales are separate from Dawgapalooza.
What happens at a pep rally?
The MSHS Cheerleaders and Marching Bulldogs will perform ahead of the football game
What kind of food will be available?
A tailgate cookout will offer pork chop sandwich and hotdog meal deals, which include chips and a drink
There will also be ice cream and shaved ice trucks at the event
Tents, tables, and chairs will be set up for eating and socializing
Where should I park?
Parking is available at M-S High School (302 W. State Street)
While the lots near the track fill quickly, you can park in the main high school lots (on State Street) and walk via the sidewalk along the east side of the school to get to the football field
The Mahomet-Seymour Athletic Boosters help financially supplement 25 sports programs for equipment, gear, or other expenses. They also help supplement certain larger facility projects that benefit multiple student-athlete programs.
The Mahomet-Seymour Music Boosters volunteer their time and talents to support the operation of our district band and choral programs and fundraise to financially supplement the needs of the programs not covered by the district.
