Comprehensive Plan
Residents know – and have varied feelings about the fact – that Mahomet is a rapidly-growing community. The Village is addressing our community’s changes with a Comprehensive Plan that will act as a guide for the next 20 years of growth. Residents are invited to contribute their feedback via this survey, which closes September 20.
The Comprehensive Plan is being developed in collaboration with SmithGroup Consulting, whose contract was approved at the May 26 Board of Trustees meeting (page 6). June Updates
The Board of Trustees meeting that took place on June 23 included votes on several significant issues:
A resolution was passed to designate a large-scale residential development at Tin Cup Village with a 55+ restriction (discussion and documentation here, pages 161-174; study session discussion here, pages 2-3)
A resolution was passed to establish a ground-mounted solar electric utility use (discussion and documentation here, pages 175-211; study session discussion here, pages 3-4)
An ordinance was passed to approve a new logo for the Village of Mahomet (discussion and documentation here, pages 225-231)

Remember that Study Session (i.e., discussion) meetings happen twice a month on Tuesday evenings, and agendas will always be shared in “This Week in Mahomet” on Everything Mahomet. Government meetings welcome comments from the public.
