Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons has issued a list of polling places that will not be open for the March 17th primary location due to a shortage of election judges. Life Vineyard Church in Mahomet was among those listed, meaning that voting will not take place there on March 17th.

Two polling places remain open in Mahomet on Election Day - at Lake of the Woods park and at the Mahomet Public Library. Voting takes place at both places from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Any Champaign county resident can vote at any location.
Early voting also opened at Lake of the Woods starting on Monday March 9th. The hours for early voting at Lake of the Woods are:
Monday 3/9/26 - Friday 3/13/26 11:00am to 6:00pm
Saturday 3/14/26 10:00am to 4:00pm
Sunday 3/15/26 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Monday 3/16/26 11:00am to 6:00pm
Early voting is particularly important this year, as Mahomet-Seymour schools are on spring break March 17th. With many families traveling, it is particularly important for them to use early voting or vote by mail options.
