Yellow and Company will be hosting Music Bingo, themed “Breakups and Love Stories” at 7pm. “Music Bingo combines two things everyone loves into one night full of fun and prizes!” say the hosts. “Wear sparkles, sequins or something glitzy and be entered for a chance to win a prize!” Secure your spot today at yellowandcoevents.com. Valentine’s stand up comedy at Alto Vineyard will feature Brent Terhune - seen and heard on Bob & Tom Radio, DryBar Comedy, Sirius XM, and through his huge social media following (see www.brentcomedy.com) from 7:30-9:00 PM. February 13 & 14
Comedians, Abbi Crutchfield and Luke Thayer will be delighting audience members with their “Love’s a Joke” comedy show at Yellow & Co on both Friday and Saturday nights. The dynamic duo’s tagline is, “We got married so you don’t have to!” Organizers tout the show as a “raucous and not-to-miss comedy tour as America’s top comedy couple take the stage to dish on marriage, sex, divorce, parenthood, fighting, weddings, and who — or what — they fantasize about when their spouse isn’t looking.” Show is suitable for ages 18+, and tickets are $25 in advance for the Friday show and $35 in advance for the Saturday show and then $30 and $40 respectively at the door. February 14
MPL will again be hosting their annual Murder Mystery Fundraiser Dinner. Rent a tux, break out the Aqua Net and a strapless gown, and return to high school at “A Poisonous Promenade: High School is Murder.” This year’s murder mystery is set at prom! Interact with the jock, the nerd, the stoner and the popular girl as you navigate a mystery pulled from all your favorite teen movies. Adults only. Ticket are required and can be purchased at mahometpubliclibrary.org ($55). This event usually fills up, so reserve your space ASAP.
Looking for something different? For the adventurous couple or friends, Lake of the Woods Golf Course Pro Shop has two indoor simulators open for play/practice! Dream of golf season while staying warm inside. Tee time reservations are required and made in hour blocks for 9/18 hole rounds and practice sessions. The cost is $40/hour, and reservations can be made up to seven days in advance. Call the pro shop at (217) 586-2183 to schedule.

Galentine’s Cookie Decorating Workshop is being hosted by Main Street Botanicals at 6pm a week early. $60 buys attendees their ticket for learning how to decorate sugar cookies and 8 personalized valentine’s themed cookies with Amy from Cookies by Amy! “Girl Dinner: Galentine’s Edition” is being co-hosted by Yellow & Company and The Hive Honey Beetique in the Patton District from 6-8pm. Tickets are available in store at Yellow & Company or online at yellowandcoevents.com. Tickets include starting at The Hive with a craft, a charcuterie cup, and browsing the boutique. Participants will then move to Yellow & Co. for three more crafts (toting your charcuterie cup), an open bar, and a night of music. The crafts at Yellow include a blessing bag (designed to donate), an encouraging letter for an anonymous woman (added to the bag), and a bracelet to either gift or keep. $25

Galentine’s Candle Making Party at Alto Vineyards will include a cozy, creative night with a 90-minute, guided experience, sponsored by Fire Doll Studio, where you’ll design and pour your own custom candle from start to finish. All materials are included—premium wax, vessels, fragrance options, and expert instruction—so you can relax, get creative, and enjoy the process. No prior candle-making experience needed. Wine and snacks will be available for purchase from the Alto Vineyards bar throughout the event. Alto says, “This is the perfect Galentine’s outing—creative, relaxed, and full of good vibes. Come make something beautiful, sip some wine, and celebrate the people you love most.”
(Your finished candle will need to be picked up the following day at either Alto or Fire Doll.)

Teen After Hours Yappin’ Hours PowerPoint Party
The Mahomet Public Library is hosting an after-hours, PowerPoint party for teens! You'll have 30 minutes and free use of the library's iPads to craft a brilliant slideshow presentation on the topic of your choice. Then, each participant will get five minutes to present their slideshow to a captive audience. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Event will take place from 5:30-8pm.
