What's the Law? UPDATED: Parking in Front of Mailboxes

Since publishing our previous post about parking in front of mailboxes, the Village has passed a new parking ordinance. As the Mahomet Police Department recently explained on social media, drivers may not park within 10 feet of a mailbox. This ensures that mail carriers can "safely and consistently" deliver mail.


Please be mindful of your neighbors as this new ordinance takes effect!
