Champaign County Forest Preserves
Protect natural places, support environmental education, preserve and share local history, connect with others, learn. You can find a worthwhile role in volunteering to help protect Champaign County's natural and cultural resources and to inspire people to care for, enjoy, and explore their natural world! No experience necessary!
We have multiple volunteer opportunities – each with varying levels of responsibility and commitment. We welcome community members to explore our opportunities and help wherever they are able. If you are unable to volunteer time, please consider a monetary donation to MAYC. Volunteers working with youth will require a background check.
The Museum of the Grand Prairie is one of a handful of downstate museums which has maintained accreditation with the American Alliance of Museums for 50 years. Our success is not possible without the dedication and support from volunteers.
